They did. it did not have to be said explicitly in order for us to see it. Brenda was there for him while Kelly was mainly concerned about herself and losing connection with Dylan. Dylan staying with Kelly was out of stretch.
But anyway, I would not take him back that soon!
I heard about that possibility before, but I think it would have made Dylan even worse.
