He was literally in shock though.
He spent years thinking they were all dead and he did grow a lot colder, especially after his own death. I didn't find his reaction all that out of place. They're in the middle of a war he knows they most likely cannot win, I doubt he's really processing the news. Plus, let's all remember what happened last time Jon heard a sibling of his was alive. *cough* Rickon *cough*
