Not every character or tv show is going to have a happy ending nor are real life people that's a fact. Michael was terminally sick and it happens and it was talked about during S4. Bad things happen to good people even if they deserve a happy ending. I'm glad they didn't originally give the show a typical happy ending like a huge amount of shows. Cool that Wentworth agreed with the direction they took.
