I agree, I do not want her to be typecast. DCEU is a large commitment, and if there is a possibility of her reprising her role in a future Batman story or something, that would extend her commitment past JL and WW sequel. Hopefully in the future she'll take a few roles outside of it, but I don't see her joining a BIG franchise or film soon outside of her role as Diana.
Patty was a big part of why WW worked, so she definitely needs to be the director for the sequel. I would hate to see the sequel suffer from a lack of cohesive vision of Diana's personality and storyline under a different director.
