It's hard to explain. But I thought that Lizs father kidnapped Liz. And Red and Katarina went together to get her back. Red and Kat get separated and he could only save one. So he gets Liz out, getting burned in the process, takes Liz to Sam.

Kat saves herself and she and Red meet in Cape May. Their interaction is pretty much the same as Reds memory with the men coming after her. And she kills herself when Red is distracted.

That has pretty much been my forever theory.

And now I'm having doubts that is true. It started with the Kaplan episode and her taking Liz to Sam. Now I'm doubting that Red and Kat were trying to save Liz. I'm wondering if Red was there for the fulcrum only. If Red were there only for the fulcrum, why the interest in Liz.

I'm wondering why Kate was sewing up the rabbit. I'm wondering who was in the house the night of the fire.

I guess I've had this plot in my head and now I'm doubting it.
