I disagree about NP happening later, after season 1. I cant see Peyton taking Nathan back at all after her feelings for Lucas developed. The only way I could maybe see that happening is if NH never happened, and BL still happened. Then maybe Peyton would have felt sort of lonely and went back to Nathan just for a distraction or something.

1x18 indicated that Nathan had lingering feelings for Peyton. That's what sparked my interest in them as a ship even though I liked LP. Mid s2 would've been a good time for romantic NP if he hadn't married Haley.

Nathan feelings seemed to linger for a while. In 107 he seemed to want her back a lot. And in 118 there was definite flirting. In season 2 there were moments as well that made me think he missed her. Even in season 4 he was flirting and tried to pretend they were good together. I think he always had a soft spot for her.
I wonder if Peyton hadnt of broken up with him how long they would have lasted. I mean, I do think his feelings for Haley would have caused him to want to break up too. But what if Haley hadnt been in the picture at all? Interesting to think about.
There were a lot of great NP scenes to me. I loved the talk at the party in 107. I loved the pool scenes in 118. Their small moments in 121 (i think). Of course the 413 scenes. Favorite episode in general I think was probably 118 I guess?
