Emmett is my favourite character after Brian and Justin. He is so strong and so loyal and he stands up for his friends and family. I think he seemed happy with Ted too and even at the end I get the feeling that he wished that he and Ted could be together and he missed their romantic relationship.
They had a great relationship as friends and partners.
