I like that he said that he wasn't interested in repeating the first one. I think studios often do that with sequel, just repeat the first one and lose the audience because it's usually less funny/interesting etc. if you just repeat yourself.
If I'm being honest the sentence "what it means to be a man at [a certain] age and in certain situations and having to go back out into the world" bugs me. I know the first one Vince and Owen steal the show but I hope they will give Rachel and Isla a good arc as well, because they deserve more than girlfriend/wife stories.
And I think, with the first one of course it's a flat out comedy but it also had heart because of the whole Cleary family dynamic and - I know I'm biased here - I think credit goes to Rachel's portrayal of Clare.
