Completely agree. I wasn't expecting it at all and it definitely made it that much more special. I always loved them together but forgot just HOW much until we saw him again waiting for her. Special moment and considering the circumstances I couldn't be happier with how they were able to end Mary's story in the short notice they got.
Can't deny being really sad over Catherine not getting a real ending or some of the others like Luc and Claude...or even Greer and James. You could tell that after finding out they were cancelled, I don't think any of the French court was given an alternate ending. That all seemed like complete set up for S5.
