When Marshall decided that the new group of trainees weren't very musical and planned to train them on multiple instruments including drums, Jack wanted to ensure that all songs could be played properly. The bar hosted a contest for the group, to see how the newcomers would be doing when they were performing a few songs to actual people. This went well until they tried to make Sloane dance and sing, which wasn't what anyone wanted to see ever. Therefore the team threw a drum onto the stage, this was shocking because the guy who picked it was worse than Sloane. The conclusion was that the security couldn't have stopped them playing so instead they thought about changing the rest of the set. Once all other songs had been played, a DJ started to change the record and people got to dance all together on the floor shaking. Marshall left in a hurry to prepare the aftershow party and tell the rest where they should go for additional dancing. When Carrie saw the mess that Sloane was responsible for she decided to plot a scheme with Marshall to get the rest of the group into training for secret parties at APO, making it possible for her to anger the band. There was no time to waste, so Carrie decided that she wanted to avenge the previous group and prepared a fight with the band to reclaim pride which the team lost previously. Once Sloane left the office to go see Emily's new helicopter which got a different coat to show its support for secret Santa gift that nobody expected from, he was going home.
