Plus, it was completely over-exaggerated. Natasha wasn't even committed to him, they were having casual sex. The fact that she turned up in the show just to cheat on Dawson again was completely stupid.
What I hated most is HOW the writers broke up Dawson and Joey in 6x02. It was over-dramatized and they started arguing about things that had happened YEARS ago.
It all seemed like a huge effort by the writers to depict them as having an unhealthy, immature relationship - which made a mockery of Season 5 and Dawson's determination to be with Joey after Mitch died.
