Spoiler:
Quote:
Her coming out to the audience is done by telling us all about this girl she "pervs" on which just get that word the **** away from here. I mean yes it happens but I don't think it's the word that should be used to introduce a lesbian character.

i had a flashback to skins at that moment ... i didn't mind that, but i didn't like the fat joke.

And then the rest of the episode is taken up with a heavy lesbian stalker metaphor complete with wet/gushing imagery - no I'm not joking.

see, i thought it was supposed to be ~romantic, because heather WANTED to stay with bill, so the alien part of her was like, "yes, go stay with her!!" and then bill had to tell her to let go and it was all ~beautifully tragic.
it's not great writing by any means, i'm not kidding myself here, but i saw the ~intentions.
i liked the second episode though. bill is a fun character.

Oh and I watched Bridget Jones 2 the other day and I was pleasantly surprised with a lesbian character in that film. I wasn't expecting it and it was mostly a joke, but also quite sweet.

i remember seeing it when it first came out and was like, "wait what???" when the lesbian twist happened.
