The one thing about a hypothetical Daniel & Regina reunion that would have been a bit awkward in the series, that probably wouldn't have been addressed, is the age decrepancy in the present time. They were young when Daniel died and up until the Dark Curse was cast, Regina continued to age. Wasn't it said in commentary or something in s1 by either Adam or Eddie that Regina was only about 19 when married off to the King? This was something I never really thought about in The Doctor when Whale brought him back but yeah, lol. They probably would have needed to come up with an explanation just to age him a bit to match Regina more.
