Because of Jason's jacket. FP gave him Jason's jacket, because if the law started coming, that was their insurance. Now it seems he's dead, so my guess whoever killed him most likely has Jason's jacket, and I believe Bughead will go on a mission to find Jason's jacket/killer And clear FP's name.
