When I was in my early twenties, I probably would not have gone for an arrangement like that. I was holding out for true love back then, and neither money, nor much of anything else, would have dissuaded me from holding out.
But I've experienced true love now. I'm not holding out for anything anymore. I'd go for it with the thought that it might turn into true love again. And if it didn't, then I would at least be rich.
It reminds me of the vignettes in
When Harry Met Sally, the old couples, the ones who were the happiest in their nineties, were the ones who married each other after only knowing one another for a few days.
Can't predict love!
