I know it will not end like this, but I really think that stefan forgiving katherine is the right way to close the cycle... I personally wanted even more than only forgiveness but writers completely ruined the two. Seems as all they cared and care about is damon. Stefan katherine caroline all were having good character development untill season 5, not anymore.
