I was so surprised to see the parents at the end of the first episode.
I wonder how often we see them & why they kept them alive in the show. I'll have to go back & read the ending of Book 13 to remember how the books ended because I have forgotten, but I'm pretty sure the parents were dead throughout the whole series.
