I just watched this episode and thought it was pretty good. It definitely made me feel as if I hadn't missed the past four seasons.
- Max is definitely dying. I predicted a character death in a different TV series two years ago and it happened, and the whole fandom turned against me as if I was the one who killed him off. But, yeah, I don't want Max to die, he's such a wonderful father. Seeing him with Christine, I think he feels regret at not being a proper father for Brennan when she was little and now he has the second chance with Christine. I hope his death isn't too sudden, I would rather see him gradually get sick over the next ten episode than have Booth inform Brennan her father died on their way to a crime scene. He wouldn't be as heartless to do something like that, but who knows with writers.
- Zack is getting an appeal, I'm so happy! When I found out Sweets died, I'd wondered if he ever told anyone about Zack's confession about not having ever killed anyone. So glad he did in last week's episode and I'm so glad Booth is trying to get him out of the asylum. Hopefully Brennan can gather enough evidence of Zack's innocence, because he deserves to be free. I cried last week when he said he tried to kill himself upon learning of Sweet's death a couple years earlier. I'm so glad he didn't succeed and I'm so glad he was able to defend himself against that horrible doctor/
- Daisy has definitely grown up. Though I am not sure who the child she is referring to is.
- Angela definitely deserves that grant!
- I was fooled by Brennan's petty jealousy of Angela as well, and was surprised when she said the party was for her friend as well.
