Season 3 episode 2
Dead Man's Party. When Buffy returned to Sunnydale after being presumed missing for 4 months. Her mom and her friends treated her horribly. Giles and Cordelia were the only two that were just happy she was back.
Remember season 2 ended with
1) Buffy being framed for Kendra's murder
2) All of the Sunnydale police searching for her so they can either arrest and/or kill her
3) Giles being tortured and nearly killed making him the second Watcher in 2 years that Buffy almost lost
4) Buffy staking a vampire 5 feet in front of her mom and Joyce still not believing the paranormal exists and that Buffy must be mentally ill
5) Joyce kicking Buffy out of the house. She didn't just say, "Don't come back" she said "Don't even
think of coming back."
6) Xander lying to Buffy's face and not telling her that Angel's soul is going to be restored in a couple of minutes
7) Buffy thinking Willow told him to say that and so thinking all of her friends were lying/betraying her
8) Buffy finally getting Angel back only to lose him again
9) Buffy being forced to run Angel through with a sword and send him to Hell
