You remember that we at first thought it was Liz who was lying on the ventilator? I am sure it's not Scottie's husband. Maybe it's Scottie father or mother?
Or maybe he only said that to Liz cause he wanted her to break all ties with Kirk and not find out about her past? I doubt that he doesn't want to know anything about his own past.
