I've never ever let ships be my main focus when watching a show...not even consciously, just like...they were always a fun byproduct? Of course once invested that's a different story to an extent...but I always love a TV show as a whole and not just for a ship. All the other relationships are just as meaningful/fun to watch.

Damn, you're lucky! Ships are the center of my attention for 90% of the time. I start and stop watching shows because of shipping. It's rare for it not to happen. I'm a shippaholic, basically.
