I think honestly he's scared to maybe bring it up. Kara doesn't know how serious he is about her. I'm wondering if he's afraid to maybe get his heart broken. Although, I'm liking this slow burn with them. It's like they can't talk about the elephant in the room, although we all know what happened and he meant every word even if he was almost dying at the time he said those things.
