Yes because Alex thinks what's going to bloom and what's going to happen to him. He just wants to spend a nice time with the people who are important to him. Hammer would be if he would invite Nathan to the waffle day on Sunday and then merge Meredith and him, so he knows she is in good hands when he goes to jail for a long time.
