I agree. When I was watching the scene I was a bit surprised because Leonard usually believe everything he does is right and even if he knows he probably did the wrong thing, he would never really apologize. He'll hide it under sarcasm and move on to what's next! So, that says a lot about how guilty he felt after he pointed the Cold gun towards her. He really valued their relationship.
