I am SO EXCITED that Katey will be playing Penny's mom!
I literally gasped at the panel when they announced that. (And the little kid sitting next to me - son of one of the writers actually - looked up in confusion, haha.) I'm not even upset it's not Lisa Kudrow, because the 8SR connection just gives me so many feelings.
