Yep, it's like the 'Princess' comment in s1. It started as rude, then it became more teasing when he understood she wasn't really like that, and then he stopped calling her that way completely. It's the same now with Wanheda. She was Wanheda in 3x05, and now he has tested the waters to see if she was really that way again with him, and she wasn't, so it was probably the last time he called her that way.

True, I really wasn't a fan of what the Brave Princess title meant at the start but after that, it was evident that he uses it as a term to describe her in a more positive tone and once he started getting to know the true Clarke, he stopped calling her that entirely. So I see the Wanheda thing as you said - testing the waters to see if his friend/partner/co-leader was back instead of the political figurehead everyone else saw.

True, but sometimes not knowing is not a bad thing. I mean the hug totally helped me go through some really rough times in 3A but it's also true that i didn't expect anything for 3x11, i actually expected them to be cold to each other, and that episode was truly a gift for us. I think my shipper self would have gone mad if I didn't know there was a hug coming up.
I expected a lot of weirdness when they first saw each other again in episode 11 and there definitely was but we also got a lot of warmth and them just naturally slipping back into their previous dynamic - as if no time had passed since they last saw each other and it was beautiful to watch.
3B has been so good, it's as if they wanted us to appreciate the show/characters more after the mess that was 3A.
