I usually prefer their songs in Korean, with some exceptions. Like Genie for example, to me that song in Japanese is superior. I do understand Japanese better though, I took some lessons some years ago, and Korean is like nonsense
They usually explain it like, Japanese has square sounds whereas Korean has round sounds.
