I agree that Alex's actions have become very hard to understand. Especially the point about him making Jo cry and then proposing afterwards is really bewildering. Did he think that the proposal would be the best way to apologize? Maybe he should've started with an apology then.

I wish we had seen an Alex scene between the fight and the proposal. I would've loved one with him worrying about having ruined everything with that fight, maybe talking to Meredith about it and her being there for him. But of course we didn't get to see that.
