Interesting. I don't remember Laurie saying that they never discussed it. I just know that she has said from the beginning that Francis' death was one of the historical points that they intended on sticking with.
Like you said, you'd think they would have been tempted to change their plans after seeing how popular Francis and Frary are...and Tobelaide's insane chemistry. But...that's not the story they want to tell.
Yeah...I just can't imagine leaving all of French court behind.
