I hope we see some significant growth from Walter in light of what Paige told him. Walter believes he can control his own emotions. He doesn't understand how impossible that is. Moreover, he doesn't realize he can't control the emotions of others. While he's not responsible for Paige and Ralph's feelings for him, if he cares about them - and he does - he needs to take their feelings into account as much as his own.
