Do you live in a place that normally gets snow? Where I live, we usually get a little snow each year - and some years we get major snowstorms. But other years we get no snow at all.
Except for the one year I went on a trip to Switzerland in February, because we'd had no snow at all for 2 or 3 years and I wanted to see some snow. While I was in Switzerland, they were in the middle of one of the warmest winters on record.
The only snow was way up high in the Alps - and I did go up to the glaciers to see some snow. When I flew back to the States, we landed in New York by the skin of our teeth in the middle of the 2nd of two major blizzards. When I got home, I couldn't get a cab from the train station and had to call a friend with a four-wheel drive vehicle to come get me because there was two feet of snow on the ground.
