It's a good thing for TBBT. Friends is overall fantastic (and I highly recommended it!
), but for me, it really started to tank in season 9. The characters became worse, over-the-top versions of themselves, and it got a lot less funny. Even though we are very early in the season, I'd say TBBT is still doing a good job of keeping the characters true to who they are, unless it's something different that makes sense, like seeing Sheldon responding to the breakup. And it's still funny, so that makes me happy, because I really don't want them to jump the shark.
