The SVU fandom used to have the worst wars after Elliot left, and the Grey's fandom has always been brutal but the Grey's fandom ship wars stem predominately from jealousy, because the writers suck at balancing screentime so people get angry when another ship gets more screentime than theirs and that creates tension. But my ship died, so I don't have anything to care about anymore with that show.
I'll stick to finished shows like FRIENDS where I know my ship is safe.
