She's in graduate school now, studying for her Master's degree. She wants to continue her education to get a Ph.D, which she can get at a proper university that provides it.
That is how it works in the United States: 4 years of undergrad for Bachelor's degree, 2 years of graduate for Master's degree, and however long for Ph.D.
