I think I would have liked Imogen with Adam if it wouldn´t have been for Becky. She totally ignored that Adam was the boyfriend of one of her friends. If it just would have been obvious that she had a crush on him, that would have been okay with me because you can´t choose who you fall for but she actively pursued him.
And afterwards she just swept it under the carpet emotional wise because as far as I remember there was not even a follow up (besides her not knowing if to tell Becky or not). But if your crush dies in an accident he wouldn´t have had if you wouldn´t have made a move on him that has to lead to some emotional turmoil.
So the Imogen/Adam affair for me looked more like a plot device to stage Adams death. If Imogen would have pursued him before Becky was in the picture I think they may have been really good for each other.
