I get it that he doesn't want to let it consume him with anger and bitterness and revenge when he wanted to end it. But for her safety, that was the stupidest part on his just to give her back when he had all the right reasons to keep her away from them. It's not like Sonny would give up his dangerous life for her, not for anyone. AJ would be growing up, looking over her back and lives in fear just like Michael did. At least Morgan grew up by that time when Carly married Jax and got close to him but Michael lived so much under Sonny's thumb so he knew exactly how it felt to be living under his and surrounded by dangerous people and guns and bombs. It's scary. And he's putting her through exact same thing. Fine, forgive them if you want but to put her life at risk isn't a good idea to do that.
