I guess I've just never noticed too many male celebrities doing it. I am confident you're right, I think it's just less obvious to me than with celebrity women. I think of the Tom Cruise or Nicolas Cage situation, where their stage names became their real names too. Their children all took on Cruise and Cage as last names.
It's very clear that Chip is a huge family guy and is very proud of his roots. Of course, I understand why he uses his middle name for Hollywood purposes. I think it's sweet that he wanted his family name to live on with his own family, though. I wonder if Chase is really Charles Esten Puskar IV?
