There is so much vulnerability on his face when he looks at or thinks about her.

I don't know how anyone can think of him, even sans soul, as a bad boy. He was a hopeless romantic with his heart on his sleeve.

I love the evolution of Spuffy so much. I can see ways for them getting together in any season but that's because of how rich their characters are and so many good fan fiction writers out there showing the way. But ultimately I'm glad they defied ship protocol and didn't get together until years into their knowing each other. And not in a friends for years and then blah blah. It was always an intense relationship and in a way a slow burn romance.
