Yeah, he was definitely strong - he had to be with the way he grew up. He learned how to keep going and not letting any hurt stop you in that way. He must have seen lots of his friends die, but had to just keep going if he wanted to survive/save anyone else. That really shows how much Fred meant to him that he broke down after her death - although I do think he grew softer over his years with the Angel team, & not in a bad way.
The only other death that really got to him was his sisters
