Yeah, I think that's what will happen, too. Caroline will push him away in 6x21, then something will make her realize that things don't have to be perfect for them to be together. She'll either go to tell him that or tell him that, and something intervenes with that. Then again, it seems Elena and Bonnie are getting all the "we're in danger" drama in the finale. So, I don't know.
