I'm like... just... no.
I have no idea how they can live with sacrificing a couple with that on-screen chemistry.
If Clare has any brains - any at all - she will be looking back at the show 20 years from now and be like, "Christ how could I have been stupid enough to sabotage that." She will never have that stage magic with anyone else in her life.
