Tybalt's mum/Isond's aunt...

Name: Lady Ambryl Lannister
Age: Forty-Five
House: Lannister (formerly Westerling)
Personality: Caustic, Ambitious, Mendacious, Bias, and Comely
Three Life Facts:
- Ambryl Lannister was not always accustomed to the lavish lifestyle her married House provided. A child of the Westerlands, her upbringing was often difficult and disheartening. Her ancestors knew great prosperity. Ambryl knew stagnation. A shadow of the stronghold it once was, the Crag made Ambryl nostalgic for times past. It also made her strong. Ambryl’s circumstances lit a fire in her belly, a fire for more than her father thought possible. Aiding her quest for rebirth was Ambryl’s brother Alester. The future Lord of the Crag, unlike the reigning, believed beauty could be made from ashes. The siblings positive attitudes and monetary intelligence inspired hope across the rocky region. And inadvertently led to their father’s demise. Those opposed to the acting Lord’s pessimism revolted by way of poison.
- Within two years of his ascension, Alester (with Ambryl’s help) was refilling his family’s coffers and utilizing their mines. Their efforts reignited trade in stones and fine metals, while simultaneously earning the attention of Great Houses. This led to a Hightower marriage for Alester and a Lannister union for Ambryl. Ambryl should have been content, and was for a spell, but the fire reignited. Long forgotten were the Westerling words “Honor, not Honors.” Settling for a second born Lannister could not be her future, nor her children’s. So she did what needed to be done. Orchestrating a “freak” tourney accident wasn’t hard. Lord Lannister had his fair share of enemies. Was ending a life the best course of action? Perhaps not, but it was the obvious choice. Ambryl’s brother-in-law was a childless drunk who’d felt her up one too many times. He had it coming, she told herself. It’s what helped her sleep at night while her husband enjoyed his new reign. It’s what she repeated when her ungrateful husband cheated and she poisoned him.
- As the Gods, fate, or karma (take your pick) would have it, Ambryl’s oldest son followed with consumption two years later. Ambryl nearly broke from the loss. Parents were not meant to outlive their children. The week after her oldest boy’s death, Ambryl drew a bath and slit her wrists. A ladies maid found her minutes before she passed to another world. Tybalt could have pitied his mother, could have locked her away not to shame him, but he stood by her. Her baby boy reminded her of her strength. He assured her she had a purpose among the living. Ambryl knew what that reason was the day Damon was conceived. She existed for Tybalt, undoubtedly, but for the next generation too. Her grandson, and the infants to come, kept her sane and prevented her from lashing out at Lorene. The free spirited minx never loved her eldest son and jumped into Tybalt’s willing arms far too soon after his death. She’s not worthy of the Lannister name.
