I'm with you. I love SC to bits but I wasn't a big fan of how Stefan became confident in his feelings at the funeral. Paul has expressive eyes so it wasn't necessary for him to look at Caroline while she was sitting down and lean forward
But what ya gonna do? JP didn't know how else to convey the message. And I have seen these kinds of scenes in movies before.
