Okay I really hated Thompson with a passion in the first few episodes and he's still a douche but even I have to admit that his character has turned a corner in the last few episodes. I think he genuinely respects Peggy as a fellow agent after the Russia mission and I liked he, along with Daniel, trusted Peggy when she told them about the defector not being what he seems.
