Grey's Medical on twitter said back in November (after episode 8) that they will talk about types and possible treatments depends on the type. Even Sarah when someone asked her if the baby will die or live (I think it was at the beginning of the season) she asked "you have to wait and see" and added a wink to her answer. I know I more likely reading to much into this, but I don't see Sarah adding a wink if the baby dies.

I know... the hype is a little weird in my opinion if they are going to have the baby die/abort/induce whatever.
Even posting the consent form/birth certificate on instagram, if that is what it is.
I don't think they are appreciating how many of the fans really wanted a living baby to coo over.
