It seems like neither April or Jackson knows about the possible stem cell treatment. I think Dr. Herman can say to them next week it's type III, but still the possibilities of surviving are minimal. The Mama Avery in episode 10 can bring the stem cell treatment option with her and that will bring Baley on the scene too.
