Yeah, but I still think that they're deviating way too far from the Marvel storyline in my opinion. One thing I've learned from watching Fox and Sony's franchises is that when they start to deviate too far from the source material(which is supposed to act as a blueprint to build the movies on) the results are usually disastrous, like X-Men: United, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, Spider-Man 3, and The Amazing Spider-Man 2. It's like they're just cramming the Ultron storyline in there just for the sake of having him in there with a deus ex machina. With Spider-Man 3, it was the Venom symbiote coming from a conveniently timed meteor rather than an alien machine from the 'Secret Wars' Battleworld. Now with Ultron it's conveniently placed alien technology left over from the Battle of New York rather than from Hank Pym's technology and brainwaves.

Part of the reason I'm upset is because this over-simplification robs the story of much of its comic book depth. I imagined the MCU with a young Hank Pym(sorry, but Michael Douglas as a 70 year old Hank Pym just makes me want to vomit) having designed his robot insects as spy-surveillance drones for the military, as well as designing Ultron as a drone-soldier; until Tony Stark came out as Iron Man and Hank lost his defense contracts because the military suddenly didn't want drones anymore, they wanted human soldiers in armored battlesuits instead. This would add to Hank's frustration at once again being passed over in favor of Tony the billionaire. Hank would assume that Ultron got mothballed, until the mad robot with an Oedipus complex escaped after gaining sentience and proceeded with his plan to exterminate the human race. But no, let's us the least-imaginative way of doing things. It's the Chitauri again, and Tony Stark uses their technology to create Ultron because..... well, because he's Tony Stark and makes armored machines that blow things up. How original.
