Mac's were required at my children's school and that's when I bought my first. That was about 5 years ago. When we moved to my new house, I bought my husband a Mac desktop, and he fell in love with it.
One of the things I love about Apple, they may change and upgrade their products, the operating system stays virtually the same and upgrades are very inexpensive. I just bought a new one a year ago and got a HD with 1 terabyte, then got an Air Port 2 terabyte external HD because I rip a lot of DVD's and make at ton of GIF's and video clips.
