What interested you about the series? The main subject is fascinating, the main character is awesome and I love the relationship between her and Peeta, it's so unusual and touching
Anything else? When I first saw the movie trailer I thought that the HG was an american remake of a Japanese movie/comic novel called "Battle Royale" (which had a very similar reality show where teenagers were forced to kill each other and only one could survive...), so I was a bit "meh" about it. But then, when I actually saw it I was gladly surprised that the story had a lot more to tell.
I still believe that Collins stole a lot of hints from Battle Royale, but she could add those awesome characters and details that made her story so much better than the Japanese one (more feelingless and cruel).
