Does it get better, then?
I normally like dark and depressing, but I don't know...something about it just doesn't capture my interest.
I've heard mixed reviews. Some love it, others have said the same thing I'm feeling. My sister claims it gets better later in the book.
My sister and I have very, very different tastes, though.
